FourChords Guitar Songbook App Reviews

Have been looking for an app like this for a long time. For us beginner/almost intermediate players there is none better. Only thing is I am a 50s 60s rock and blues kind of guy and wish there were more songs like that instead of Justin Bieber and Adele types.

Does a good job of the basics but wish it would use more advanced chords and not just basic major and minor open cords.

A fantastic app overall. However, I would to be able to buy individual songs. At the the moment, the options are play 20-sec previews for free, or pay for a subscription (that will eventually run out) and get unlimited play. I dont see a point though in paying $30 for a year or $5 for a month when the songs will disappear afterward. Itd be best if there were a more permanent paid option.

This app is just really good I love it it can be for beginners and intermediate it shows you how to a chord and videos of how to do it nice app check it out

Use this app with my iPad plugged into an amp. I perform at a local shopping mall and everyone really enjoys it. The producers of this app do listen to the customer reviews. Not so long ago I ask about key changes and now you can change the keys but not to any key. Just the easy play along ones say from G to C. It would be nice to be able to have a play list option. I have to scroll through the songs and this does take away my e when you have 120 to deal with. My goal is to have 200 songs at various categorys. Please come up with more childrens songs. I enjoy playing for the kids at the mall and they love to sing along. Have to use y other app Sheet Music Direct for them. Mary Had A Little Lamb and a very few others can get boring. They love Let It Go from Frozen. I play it all the time. Keep up the Good work.

I plan to use this in my classroom

I was really surprised and pleased to find this App via its novel design. As a returning to guitar player after many years of work and travel, then 2 critical illnesses, I am finding it a real honest presentation of what is needed to play, with interesting alternatives to chords and playable versions of songs. The clips of the guitar player is an excellent way to teach and they are really well done. Mostly I want to express my appreciation for your integrity in creating this program. You dont over promise, but rather you over deliver on this concept. If I want to go further, I can pay a reasonable even modest fee to add additional resources. Ive been playing FourChords for the past year and its one of the surest ways Ive seen my guitar skills improve! Its so rewarding to play along to popular songs I know, and now that they support the jamstik its an awesome way to get feedback on how well Im doing! Thanks guys!!

I would love to see an option to play bass guitar. Otherwise, this is a great app for learning easy ways to play favorite songs. I also like to see how the developers are consistent about making updates and improvements ever since it first came out.

You should let us edit, upload, & share arrangements! This is such a great practice tool, it would be great to be able to practice my own compositions! Edit lyrics, etc. Or to simply learn any song we wanted to make. You could even make a standalone (web-based; or Mac) app to edit with!

Great app! Started learning how to play the guitar 2 years ago but gave it up. Just could not play bar chords..with a new outlook, Im ready to start learning again. Having this app is making it fun to learn.

I love how you can practice the strumming and rhythm separate from singing along. This has improved my playing a lot. There is a good variety of songs in this app and they are always adding more. This app is well worth the money.

This app goes a long way toward removing any intimidation that might be associated with learning/practicing guitar. I on Stage 3 in Justins Beginners Course book and I am using the 4 Chords app as my 5:00 minutes of Songs/Chord Sequences portion of the Practice Chart!!! Justin ROCKS! I find that I put a lot more time into practicing using Justins method than when I had a teacher.

doesnt hold up. Intro uses actual Piano (for example), but once you are in the app you are in midi land. In addition, the library is a hit light. Some amazing artists and groups, and then just one song.
